When is the last time you offered a piece of advice to a friend? A loved one? A total stranger? Whether you are a friend, a member of my family or a simple wanderer of the internet sharing in my love for the game of hockey – I dedicate this post to you. I’ve never had a blog.  I didn’t know where to start. I still don’t know where to start. All I know is that it is always going to be hockey related. Hockey is the sport I grew up with. My Papa made sure I’d held a stick before I could crawl. He taught me to skate before I could throw a ball. By age six I was playing travel hockey and watching Don Cherry’s Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em movies religiously. I was very lucky. Not because I was watching Don Cherry everyday (although I remain one of his loyal fans) but because I was born into a family that could afford to pay for my equipment, pay for registration, pay for travel expenses. I was also lucky enough to play with amazing teammates and receive first-class coaching throughout my minor hockey career. Anyways, not to get off-track here. The Hockey Clinic is my passion project. This website is my outlet to reach out to those who share my love for the game of hockey. Through The Hockey Clinic and this website I hope to provide youth hockey players an opportunity to experience growth in the areas of hockey development, self-confidence and teamwork.
