Ben Lawrence-Farhi

Founder/Director

Profile Summary

Ben is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario’s Business Management & Organizational Studies Program with a Specialization in Finance & Administration. He has recently moved back to London, Ontario after spending a year in San Francisco as the VP & Assistant Director of Player Personnel of the San Francisco Bulls professional hockey team, formerly of the ECHL.

His knowledge of the game and understanding of the skills necessary to play at a competitive level allows players to develop by learning, developing and conquering the sport’s fundamentals, high-level skills and high-end hockey IQ.

With over 5 years experience working for a variety of London’s other leading hockey schools, Ben has developed a strong belief that great coaching can inspire great athletes and provide life-long learning experiences.

Demetri Makrakos

Assistant Director of Player Development

Profile Summary

Demetri is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with a Master of Science in Kinesiology, specializing in Neuromuscular Physiology. He also has his CSEP – CPT certification (Canadian Society for Exercise Physiologists – Certified Personal Trainer), and has been working at the YMCA as a Health and Wellness Coach and Personal Trainer for the past 3 years.

Back in high school Demetri made it to OFSAA with the Lucas Vikings and placed 3rd. While studying kinesiology in his undergraduate degree at Western he served as an assistant captain for the Thamesford Trojans Junior C Hockey Club, winning two OHA cups.

Between his academic, professional and hockey experience, Demetri has developed a great understanding of the individual’s ability to push their physical limits and appreciates the training required to excel in hockey and optimize development.

Nylan Pozzo

Assistant Director of Player Personnel

Profile Summary

Nylan is an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT). He graduated from UWO’s Faculty of Education with a B.Ed. degree in 2013. Since then, he has worked in various roles within the field of education. As an exam proctor, tutor, teacher, coach, and writer, Nylan takes great joy in helping children and young adults achieve their social, academic, and athletic goals.

Nylan discovered his love for hockey early in his life, as he took to the outdoor rinks of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to learn the game. He is proud to share his knowledge of the sport and his love of the game with others.

Connor Allison

Player Development Instructor

PROFILE SUMMARY

Connor is currently a graduate student at the University of Western Ontario where he is pursuing a Masters degree in Sports Management.  While studying kinesiology in his undergraduate degree at Western he played for the London Nationals Junior ‘B’ Hockey Club, winning two Western Conference Championships and the Sutherland Cup.

He brings a true passion for the game as well as a strong desire to teach others.  He has over six years experience working as an instructor for a variety of hockey schools in Ontario.

By combining his education, his hockey experience and his desire to help develop athletes, Connor is able to help players of all levels improve their skill set.

Lindsay Crawford

Player Development Instructor

PROFILE SUMMARY

Lindsay is currently attending the University of Guelph and is expected to graduate with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology and a minor in Business Administration. She has played hockey at the competitive level her entire life and is currently playing for the Belmont Blazers Senior A womens team. She has many championships to her name including a Senior A Provincial Championship in 2011.

Between her playing experience, coaching experience, and assisting with youth sports, Lindsay has developed a strong desire to help the youth of London and surrounding areas develop the high demand skill-sets necessary to succeed both on and off the ice.
